Internationalisation of economy is progressing constantly so that the website of a company becomes more important. In addition to the selection of 18 languages of the ifm website, the internet address and domain plays a central role.
As of the beginning of 2008 the internet presentation of ifm electronic may also be reached at:
www.ifm.com All other internet addresses, e.g. "www.ifm-electronic.com" or "www.ifm.info" remain valid.
The benefit for the customer is the simpler and shorter spelling leading to quicker and more intuitive availability of information in search engines or directly in the browser. In combination with the most widely used "top level domain" .com and the country-specific internet addresses this completes the image of internationality.
In addition, all e-mail addresses of the ifm employees were changed from "first name_surname@ifm-electronic.com" to "first name.surname@ifm.com". The old addresses can still be reached. With this measure it is also easier to communicate the e-mail address, e.g. on the phone.
