ifm efector introduces New Photoelectric Sensors with
Long Sensing Ranges for Rugged Industrial Environments
ifm efector’s new line of photoelectric sensors named the “OG Basic Line” features extended sensing ranges and stainless steel housings for rugged industrial automation applications. The sensor’s industry-standard M18 threaded housing is constructed of 316 stainless steel and features an integrated PMMA lens. Extended sensing ranges enables the sensor to be placed farther away from the target which provides protection against mechanical damage in harsh applications.
Sensing ranges include 20 meters for thru-beam; 4 meters for polarized retro-reflective and 250mm for diffuse background suppression with potentiometer setup for precise applications.
ifm efector offers a variety of mounting components for quick setup. The sensors use a standard M12 cable assembly for electrical connection. An LED indicates switching or operation status, depending on the model. OG Basic photoelectric sensors are 3-wire DC, PNP units available in either dark-on or light-on modes.
