Product Line Includes Sensors for Cylinders with C-slots
ifm efector has expanded their line of magnetic cylinder sensors with Giant Magnetoresistive technology (GMR) to include sensors for C-slot pneumatic cylinders. The sensor bodies are 15mm long and feature top-loading mounting that eliminates the need to remove cylinder endcaps. During installation, the integrated friction tab prevents the sensors from sliding – even in vertical positioned cylinders. ifm efector also offers a line of T-slot sensors that fit a variety of cylinder types including dovetail, tie rod, integrated profile, and smooth.
GMR technology for enhanced performance
Integrated GMR technology enables the sensors to provide excellent repeatability, fast response times, and immunity from the long-term effects of magnetic fields. The sensors are polarity independent and provide reliable piston-position detection regardless of magnet orientation. Designed for rugged industrial applications, the durable sensors have an unlimited number of cycles which reduces sensor replacement through the life of the cylinder.
C-slot magnetic cylinder sensors are DC units and available in a variety of models including standard M8 snap-fit pigtail, 2 meter cable and a threaded M8 pigtail which connects directly to multi-port blocks without requiring a patch cord. The sensors are 3-wire, normally-open available in PNP or NPN.
