ifm efector Introduces Compact Pressure Transmitter for Sanitary Applications
ifm efector inc. announces a new line of compact, electronic pressure transmitters designed for sanitary applications. The PI Series pressure transmitter is a 316 stainless steel unit that is rated IP69K and tested to withstand high-pressure cleanings and extreme washdown conditions. The transmitter offers an accuracy of <0.2% of full scale and is designed for a variety of application solutions including line pressure, filter monitoring, pump protection and tank level. The transmitter features a four-digit integrated display that provides continuous indication of pressure value. Its programmable display offers simple pushbutton setup that enables adjustment of the scaleable analog output.
The PI transmitter measures approximately 4.5” (119mm) high and is flush-mounted directly in a pipe or tank using industry standard adapters and fittings. The transmitter can be placed in direct contact with media – its base is completely smooth, preventing media from sticking. ifm’s ceramic cell sensing technology eliminates the need for diaphragms. The integrated ceramic cell sensing element with Teflon sealing offers overload and vacuum resistance under harsh conditions. Built-in temperature thermal decoupling allows the transmitter to withstand CIP cycle temperatures. The PI transmitter meets 3A and EHEDG requirements and its materials meet FDA regulation 21 CFR.
PI pressure transmitters are quick disconnect Micro DC units with a scaleable analog output.
Models are available to monitor pressure ranges from full vacuum to 363 psig. List price is $562.00 (U.S.) for all models.
