ifm efector Expands ecolink Cordset Family to Include M12 Patchcords

ifm efector, a manufacturer and supplier of sensors and controls for industrial automation, has expanded its ecolink M12 cordset family to include M12 patchcords. The patchcords, designed for interconnecting two electrical components for signal routing, are terminated at each end with ifm's ecolink connectors. The connectors feature a “lock-in-place” coupling nut that secures the cordset to a wiring block and to a quick disconnect sensor. The coupling nut design prevents the cordset from detaching – even in high shock and vibration environments. The ecolink insert design acts as a mechanical end-stop that prevents possible damage to the Viton o-ring from over tightening.

ifm's ecolink patchcord is tested to withstand harsh conditions and aggressive oils and coolants. The product line meets cRUus approval, RoHS standards and is silicon and halogen free. The high-flex PUR jacketed cable is rated for over 5 million flex cycles. The patchcord offers a broad operating temperature range of -13 to 194°F (-25 to 90°C).

Installation is fast, and the patchcords can be quickly attached manually. Patchcords are available in 3-wire and 4-wire options in various configurations including straight connectors, right angle connectors and right-angle with output LEDs. A variety of cable lengths are available including 0.3 meters, 0.6 meters, 1 meter, 2 meters and 5 meters.

ifm is offering volume discounts as low as $9.45 per patchcord for orders of 250+ pieces. As a manufacturer and supplier of ecolink patchcords, ifm efector is stocking a high level of inventory at their central distribution center in order to meet their customer’s on-time delivery requirements.
