ifm introduces new OG Series Photoelectrics for Washdown Applications
ifm's stainless steel photoelectric sensors are designed and tested to provide reliable position detection in the extreme food and beverage applications.
• Industry standard 18mm stainless steel housing
• Plastic lens eliminates possibility of glass splintering in food and beverage processes.
• Ecolab certified sensors are resistant to chemicals used in washdown environments
• Chemically compatible with industrial caustic and acid solutions.
• Visible red light source simplifies installation and maintenance
• High grade stainless steel mounting accessories available
• Zero-leak design, rated IP69K, prevents ingress during high pressure cleaning and steam cleaning.
ifm stainless steel sensors are designed and tested for use in high temperature food and beverage applications ifm OG photoelectric sensors are subjected to a steam boiler test the simulates harsh conditions in food and beverage applications. The test fixture subjects sensors to 95% air humidity and rapid temperture changes. Sensors are placed in a steam boiler at 80°C and submerged into ice water once per day. Following the ice bath, sensors are subjected to a variety of function checks to verify proper performance.
The right combination of price and performance High performance, long life-in-application and a low price point. The bottom line: higher uptime and low operating costs. It's the right combination of performance and price tht will result in savings for your manufacturing facility.
