Introducing GMR sensors for T-slot and C-slot cylinders
ifm efector introduces magnetic cylinder sensors with Giant Magnetoresistive technology (GMR) for C-slot and T-slot pneumatic cylinders. GMR sensors fit a variety of cylinder types including dovetail, tie rod, integrated profile, and smooth.

Compact housings
Parallel grippers and linear slides are now designed smaller to fit pick-and-place and positioning applications. To accommodate these smaller machines, ifm's T-slot and C-slot cylinder sensors easily fit into slot-style cylinders to provide a low-profile mounting.

Quick and easy mounting
Sensor housings are 17.5mm and 25mm long and feature top-loading mounting that eliminates the need to remove cylinder endcaps. During installation, the integrated friction tab prevents the sensor from sliding – even in vertical positioned cylinders. The sensor is secured by tightening the mounting screw with a flathead screwdriver or allen wrench.

Four electrical connection options
Magnetic cylinder sensors are available in various electrical connections to suit an application. These include a standard M8 snap-fit pigtail, threaded M8 pigtail, threaded M12 pigtail, or 2 meter cable. Threaded pigtail models connect directly to multi-port blocks without requiring a patch cord.
