Echo time of flight principle
using gwr technology

The efector gwr level sensor applies reliable micropulse technology (TDR=Time Domain Reflectometry) to measure the distance travelled to the medium using electromagnetic pulses in the nanosecond range.

Using the sensor’s high frequency technology, these pulses are guided along the surface of the probe.

When the guided wave pulse hits the medium, it is partly reflected. The time between transmitting and receiving the pulse is directly proportional to the travelled distance which provides the current level of the medium.
