Inductive RFID technology The RFID system (Radio Frequency IDentification) from ifm efector generates a 125 kHz electromagnetic field for reading and writing data. The electromagnetic field emitted by the antenna induces voltage in the passive ID tag (transformer principle). This activates the ID tag (transponder) which returns its code. The read/write module processes the code and sends the transmission to the AS-interface networking system.
